Writing
Writing is my greatest pleasure in life and I'm happy to say I'm proud of what I've created. Here you will discover a compilation of my favorite pieces, ranging from in-progress pilots and once staged sketches to quick blackouts and even an analytical (and thought-provoking!) essay. I take great pride in my diverse collection of works, and I invite you to immerse yourself in their pages. So, please, take a moment to peruse and indulge in some of my favorite writing examples.
Pilot Pitch: Squatch Search Squad
In the foothills of the north Cascades, three park rangers are determined to find the sasquatch and avoid doing their jobs. Though the 'squatch remains elusive, cryptids aren't unheard of and the rangers frequently encounter cryptozoological creatures of all sorts.

Pilot Pitch: Fangirls
Charlotte, a failing novelist, and Elena, a struggling children's author, find overnight success when they collaborate on a raunchy erotic fanfiction based on their favorite teen vampire drama. But is sudden sexual success worth sacrificing their chosen careers?

Late-Night Packet
A standard late-night packet full of non-standard jokes. Featuring a Weekend Update segment, a satirical advertisement, character sketch, and political sketch, this packet has a little bit of everything!

Sketch Packet
This packet is basically my sketch writing portfolio. Inside you'll find 3 sketches of different kinds: fish out of water, clash of context, and entrances and exits, all with my signature silly. These sketches were developed during my time at The Second City and "Parent's Day" was performed on the ETC stage as pictured!

Blackouts
3 short and silly blackouts all performed on the ETC stage at The Second City Chicago during my student showcase. A child wishes for a father, a father hopes for the loss of his child, and a game of "bubble gum, bubble gum" turns into Shirley Jackson's "The Lottery". Blackouts are a great way to stretch your joke muscles, I could (and I do!) write blackouts constantly.

Analytical Essay: Comedic Characters and First Films
As a Star Wars consumer, I've always wondered: is Jar Jar Binks actually awful or do I just hate fun? In this analytical essay I make use of my comedic academic studies to answer that question and seek out the truth. I analyzed the joke structure and really broke down why Jar Jar is such a flop, especially when compared to everyone's favorite comic relief duo, R2 and 3PO.
